co-creative democracy
In the present concept for co-creative neighborhood democracy, a stronger direct participation of citizens in the political process at neighborhood level is proposed. The core of the proposal is to enable topic-specific working groups organized by citizens to access the respective political committees via delegates. The working groups arise from regular open meetings to which all citizens of a neighborhood have access. As a co-creative approach to democracy, the proposal aims at a culture of joint design that is self-organized, dialogue-based and develops solutions oriented towards the common good from below. Basic principles are access for all, orientation towards the common good and cooperation, as well as self-organization (instead of bureaucracy).
