Mosaic storytelling and meeting workshop

Mosaic creates space for exchange and encounters between people with and without experience of flight or migration. With a mosaic of events in the fields of art and culture, we offer the opportunity to participate and strengthen social cohesion.

We advocate an open and diverse society that is characterized by respectful interaction. A society that can be characterized by togetherness and social cohesion instead of loneliness, polarization and division. A society in which people from different backgrounds have a real opportunity for equal participation.

In order to come a step closer to these ideals, we initiate exchange and encounters between people with and without a history of flight or migration. Personal encounters in particular help to break down prejudices.

In our workshops we introduce different people, make their stories and potential visible and get to know the realities of their lives. By listening and asking questions, we encourage people to think their way into the other person. This can change stereotypical images and perceptions. Getting to know each other improves mutual acceptance. Personal contacts that result from the encounters promote social interaction in the immediate environment.

With storytelling and encounter workshops, we invite you to a direct exchange in the neighborhood.

The storytelling workshops include discussions about our coexistence, but also about art and culture. Here we introduce people from different backgrounds and talk to them about what moves them.

In the meeting workshops we offer workshops on music, sports, art or cooking together. The more practice-oriented offers are mostly entertaining and easily accessible, since the language does not play a major role.

Sensitive topics that respond constructively to experiences with differences and encourage self-reflection (such as anti-racism and anti-discrimination) are also addressed in workshops.
